The objective of this study was to understand and respond to the needs of State
employees in addressing their most important personal financial concern: a secure
retirement after a career in State service.
The 2024 Report on California State Employees Financial Preparedness is the
result of a state-wide study examining the personal financial concerns, attitudes,
and financial preparedness for retirement among workers employed by the State of
California. Designed to provide peer-to-peer benchmarks, insights and advice, the report
provides an additional tool to use in financial planning, particularly in planning for the
unexpected, and for retirement.
American College of Physicians
The 2021 ACP Physicians’ Financial Preparedness Report
is the first quantitative study of ACP member physicians
examining their unique personal financial planning
needs, concerns, attitudes, and behaviors from
residency through retirement. The objective of this study
is to understand and respond to the needs of our internal
medicine physician community as it relates to supporting
personal financial decision-making and helping them
achieve their goal of attaining a secure retirement after
a career in medicine.

use as a tool in their financial planning, particularly when
planning for the unexpected and a comfortable retirement

The 2018 U.S. Physicians’ Financial Preparedness: Retired
Physicians Segment is the latest data release from AMA
Insurance, designed to understand the attitudes and
corresponding behaviors of physicians related to personal
finance and retirement readiness. This is the first time we
are sharing responses specifically from physicians who have
entered retirement.

is the first quantitative study of U.S. veteran military
families examining the unique financial planning
needs, concerns, attitudes and behaviors of this
community. The study is designed to provide
benchmarks and insights that U.S.military families
(both veteran and active-duty) can use as a tool in
their own financial planning, particularly when
planning for the unexpected and for retirement.
